John Steven Burns, 63, of Florence, passed away January 8, 2017 at his residence. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Killen.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Killen with Rev. David McKelvey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Burns was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Burns; and father, Ben T. Burns.
He is survived by his mother, Pauline Burns; son, Cody Burns; daughters, Melisa Krieger (Tom), Laura Gean (Scott) ; brother, Benny Burns (Linda); sisters, Frances Irons (Carl) , Deborah Creasy (David) ; grandchildren, TJ Krieger, Ashlee Krieger, Rilee Thigpen, Rachael Thigpen, Kolton Krieger, and Lucas Gean; and one great-grandchild, Tori Beth Krieger.
Active pallbearers will include: David Monroe, Jimmy Lash, Jeff Stewart, Mitchell Seay, Steve Hires, and David Smith.
CL Hubbard, Chuck Booth, David Woods, Danny Atkinson, Ronnie Hill, Fred Hester, Phillip Michael, and David Barrett will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the First Baptist Church Killen Building Fund.
