Barbara Eileen (Calta) Parasiliti

Barbara Eileen Parasiliti (nee Calta), 89, of Florence, passed away April 14, 2015 at ECM Hospital after a brief illness. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, a loving Grammy, Baba, and Nana to her grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, April 17, 2015 from 5 – 9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with the Rosary beginning at 1:30 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Jacob Amos, O.S.B. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Parasiliti was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carmelo Anthony Parasiliti, first generation, Sicily, Italy; beloved parents, Johann and Wilhemina  Calta (nee Pollock), born in Austria, Hungary (Czechoslovakia); beloved grandson, Christopher Joseph Dzubak.

She is survived by her sons, Carl B. Parasiliti, Sr. (Judy), Brian I. Parasiliti, Sr. (Suzannah) all of Florence; daughter, Tina E. Dzubak of Streetsboro, Ohio; grandchildren, Joleen R. Dzubak of Chicago, Carl B. Parasiliti, Jr., Jacob I. Parasiliti, Brianna P. Williamson, Carmelo Anthony Parasiliti, II, Brian I. Parasiliti, Jr., Michael Backensto, Amanda M. Holloway, Andrew W. McClellan; great-grandchildren, August, Zachary, and Colton.

Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Carl Bruce Parasiliti, Jr., Jacob I. Parasiliti, Carmelo Anthony Parasiliti, II, Brian I. Parasiliti, Jr., Michael McDonald Backensto, and Phillip Street.

Honorary pallbearer will be her grandson, 1st Lt. Andrew William McClellan.
