Mrs. Mary June Britnell, 83, of Florence, passed away June 23, 2017 at Florence Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mom, for many years, was pianist and organist for “The Praisemen Quartet” and loved every minute of it. She also taught elementary school for 25 years and touched many children’s lives. When she graduated from high school she was honored as Salutatorian.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 26, 2017 from 11-1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brother Dennis Steward officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Britnell was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earl Britnell; son, Phillip Edward Britnell; parents, R.L. and Virla Johnson; sister, Madie Williams; brothers, Coy Johnson, and R. L. Johnson, Jr.; and special friends, Lois Mitchell, Ruth Ford, and Sue McCully.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam McMullan (Jonathan); daughter-in-law, Marcy Britnell; grandchild, Jeremy Edward Britnell; and great-grandchild, Savannah Noel Britnell.
Pallbearers will be Tim Rikard, Jeremy Britnell, Russell Williams, Jon Leonelli, Earl Bassham, and Billy Griffin.
