Winnie Gay (Bulman) Lewis

Winnie Gay Lewis, 81, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2025, at Maury County Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN. 

Visitation will be Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 11:00-12:00 at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel.  Entombment will be in Love Mausoleum in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Matt Heupel.

Winnie was born in Scotsboro, AL. and moved to the Florence area in her junior year of high school.  She met her husband, Norman Lewis, while attending Mars Hill Bible School.  They married in 1962. Winnie graduated from the University of North Alabama in 1981 with a BA in business. She was a great wife, mom, friend, hard worker, and Bible school teacher.  She loved working with flowers and wood working. Winnie was a member of the Church of Christ.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Mary Nell Bulman; husband, Norman H. Lewis; son, Joel Lewis; brothers, Brewster Bulman, James Bulman; and sister-in-law, Beverly Bulman.

She is survived by her son, Wayne (Dawn) Lewis; sister, Mary Kay (Derek) Hylkema; grandchildren, Chase (Sarah) Lewis, Alec (Izzie) Lewis, Seth (Hannah) Lewis, Donnie (Jackie) Lewis, Lillie Lewis, Carter Lewis, Alli Hylkema, and Dakota Hylkema; and great grandson, Samuel Lewis.  Winnie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friends, Charlotte Hester, Doris Fuller, And Nancy Barfield.

Pallbearers will be Alec Lewis, Seth Lewis, Brent Bulman, Derek Hylkema, Dakota Hylkema, and Carter Lewis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Lewis and Samuel Lewis.
