William Lyn Goins

William Lyn Goins (Bill), 65; of Florence, AL passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Bill was born in Anniston, AL and grew up in the Calhoun County area. He graduated from Weaver High School and went on to Jacksonville State before entering the finance industry. Bill served many clients and communities for over 40 years.
Bill enjoyed golfing, fishing, but most of all spending time with his family. His kindness, humor, and upbeat spirit touched all who knew him.
He is remembered by his devoted wife, Joanne (Saylor) Goins and their son, William Davis Goins, who were the apple of Bill’s eye. He is also survived by his older brother, Thomas Goins. Bill is preceded in death by his father, L.B. Goins, his mother, Eseyo Kay Goins, and his brother, Bobby Goins.
Services will be held at Greenview Funeral Home on November 16, 2024. Visitation will be from 12-1pm and the service will follow.
