William Howell Carr

William H. Carr, 84, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025. He was retired from Reynolds Metals as a chemist and was affectionately known as “Batman”. He was a family man who enjoyed sailing and was a member of Helton Drive Church of Christ.

There will be a graveside service Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, AL. Officiating will be James Tackett.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Tyree and Ann Carr, of Jackson, TN.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Anderson Carr; son, William J. Carr (Renee), daughters, Lesley Anne Carr and Megan Carr Stinson (Eric); brother, Charles Thomas Carr (Cissy), and grandchildren, William Tyler Carr (Tayler), Ashley Ann Carr, Hunter Brice Stinson, Colton Lee Stinson, Ryder James Stinson, Annsley Brooke Stinson.
