Wanda Griffith

Wanda Griffith, 73 of Florence, went home to be with her Savior on Friday, August 15th, 2025, at El Reposo Nursing Home.  She was a mother, aunt, friend, and a light to everyone who knew her.

Wanda’s journey was marked by love, compassion and an unwavering faith in Jesus. She bestowed her love endlessly on family friends and even strangers. She was known for her joyful spirit and generous heart. She could not stand to see anyone in need and would give all that she could.

She was not only a retired human resources manager but a gifted artist, using her love of beauty to create scenic country landscapes on old logging saws. Later in life she developed her other gift of writing Christian short stories. 

Wanda was preceded in death by her son, Brent Griffith; grandparents, Marie and Harry Christian; mother, Marjorie Moore; and stepdad, Everett Moore.

She is survived by her son, Brandon Griffith (Daphne) their dog Quasar; brother, Timothy Moore (Glenda); sisters Judy Lard (Jerry) and Kimberly Dodd (Keevil); five nephews; two great-nephews and four great-nieces. 

Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. Chad Payne DMin. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
