Wanda Kay Cook

Wanda Kay Cook, 66, of Florence, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at North Alabama Medical Center.

There is no service planned at this time.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Presley and Ollie Cook; sister, Glenda Dison; and brother, Danny Cook.

She is survived by her brother, James Cook (Elaine); nieces, Michelle Berry (Vince); great niece, Erika Berry; great nephews, Zack Hamm (Rachel) and Russell Hamm (Heather); great-great nephews, Logan, Liam, and Caden Hamm.

Also, survived by brother-in-law, Junior Dison; niece, Melinda Cottrell; nephews, Alan Dison (Jennifer); Bradley Cook, Brandon Cook, Tyler Cook and their families; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda lived in Florence, AL her whole life.  She was a 1978 graduate of Coffee High School. Wanda worked at Shoals Hospital, and she was a manager of retail stores.  She loved life, her family and dancing.  Wanda was a wonderful person to everyone. She loved her doggie, Tinye.
