Tony Wood

Tony Wood, 67, of Florence, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at North Alabama Medical Center. Tony was an operator at South Wire and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 12-1:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  There will be a private family graveside service.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Janie Wood and brother, Jerry Wayne Wood.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Faye Wood; daughter, Terri Wells (Chad); brothers, Hamp Wood and Ricky Wood (Judy); sisters, Deb Aday (Tony Hinnant), Bane Jones (Tommy), Bonnie Lanier (Bobby), Teddie Gray; grandchildren, Lexie Wells and Axle Wells; and special friend, Danny Roy Pruitt.

Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sitting on the front porch drinking coffee with his loving wife.
