Thomas Eugene Wooten

Thomas Eugene Wooten, 87, of Florence, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024, at his residence. He was a production worker at Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Mr. Wooten was a member of the American Legion and United Auto Workers.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 12-2:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.  Officiating will be Trigger Oakley, and Dan Richardson.

Mr. Wooten was preceded in death by his parents, Hulet and Mollie Wooten; and sister, Dorothy Oakley.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Martha Wooten; son, Brad Wooten; daughter, Kim Williams (Leonard); grandchildren, Preslei Davis (Jacob), Briley Wooten, Garrett Williams, and Dawson Wooten; great grandchildren, Lawson Davis and Porter Davis due in July, 2024.

Pallbearers will be Dawson Wooten, Garrett Williams, Kelvin Dodd, Sam Marks, Leonard Williams, and Jacob Davis.

Honorary pallbearers are Trigger Oakley, Billy Wooten, and Dan Richardson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama; Lindsey Rideout and Michelle Cooper; sitters, Christy Biggers and Caity Hovater.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
