Steven Adams Obituary

Steven Harold Adams, age 65, of Florence, Alabama, the son of Robert Adams and Shirley Smith, was born July 20, 1953 in Peoria, Illinois. He passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Alabama and was buried with military honors at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.

Steven retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief after 20 years of dedicated service to his county. After the service, he spent 24 years working as a Nuclear Reactor Operator at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant. When not at work, he could often be found in his wood shop.

Steven is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cathy Adams; son, Sgt. Craig Adams (Melissa); daughter, Meghan Green (Del); step-mother, Dianne Adams; brother, Christopher Adams (Emily); sister, Roberta Nunez (James); grandchildren, Emma Adams, Piper Adams, and Quinn Adams; nephews, Cooper Adams and Harrison Adams; and niece, Delaney Adams.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Adams.

Pallbearers included Chris Adams, James Nunez, Jack Nobbs, and Meghan Green.
