Shirley Joan (Cole) Shropshire

Joan Shropshire, 90, of Killen, AL. passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, at Lauderdale County Nursing Home.  She was a homemaker and a member of College View Church of Christ.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 10, 2025, from 2-3 p.m. at College View Church of Christ.  A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church.  Officiating will be Kenny Moorer.

Joan was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Shropshire and daughter, Laura Lei Shropshire.

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin M. Shropshire, Florence; son, Douglas B. Shropshire (Cynthia); daughter, Lisa Robinson (Dale); daughter-in-law, Robin Shropshire; brothers, Gerald Cole, Pooler, GA. And Robert Cole, Debary, FL; sisters, Yvonne Yates, Orange City, FL, Beverly Webb, Clermont, Fl, Diane Baker, Homestead, FL; grandchildren, Douglas B. Shropshire, II, Aaron K. Shropshire, Benjamin W. Shropshire, Rebecca Shropshire, Elizabeth Shropshire, Catherine Shropshire; great grandchildren, Emmie Shropshire, Lillian Shropshire, Raegan Shropshire, Douglas B. Shropshire, III, Henry Shropshire, Kaira Shropshire, Jacob Shropshire, and Ella Shropshire.
