Sandra Renea (Rhea) McCartney

Sandra Renea Rhea McCartney, 58, of Florence, passed away August 7, 2025 at Glenwood Rehabilitation Center.

She graduated from Coffee High School Class of ’85, then continued her education at the University of Alabama with a law degree.  She worked as a Magistrate Judge in Florence, Alabama for 20 years.  She was a diehard Alabama football fan.

Visitation will be Monday, August 11, 2025 from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at Greenview Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.  Officiating will be Jerry Rea.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father, William (Sonny) Rhea; her mother, Ruby Collins Rhea; and her brother, Terry Rhea.

She is survived by her husband, Mike McCartney; daughter, Lauren Demastus, (Justin); grandchildren Dean and Lyla Demastus; nephew Thomas Rhea and Godmother of Sheldale Lindsey Turner and Joshua Lindsey.

Officiates will be Rev. Jerry Ray and Rev Joshua Turner

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Lindsey and Thomas Rhea.
