Ronald David Liles

Ronald David Liles, 72, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at his residence.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, James and JoAnn Liles; in-laws, Tootie and Georgia McCleskey; and brother-in-law, Ed Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Patty McCleskey Liles; brothers, Jimmy Liles, Jerry Liles (Faye); sister Debra Liles; sister-in-law, Shelia Smith; nieces, Amanda Wood (Lee), Jennifer Creel (Matt), Georgia Montney (Mason); great niece and nephews, Smith David Wood, Avery Jo Montney, and John Bradley Montney.

Ronnie passed away peacefully at home. His fight with cancer was short but he fought to the very end.  We are deeply saddened but are at peace that he is no longer in pain. We want to extend a big thank you to Dr. A.E Joiner, Dr. John Young and all of the North Alabama Bone and Joint Clinic staff. We would also like to thank everyone at Gentiva Hospice for the care and support they provided during this difficult time. Ronnie loved all his friends especially Paul Lovelace, Jeffery Brown, and all of his friends at Capone’s .
Per Ronnie’s wishes there will be no service and he will be cremated.
