Roger "Butch" Howard Moore

Roger “Butch” Moore, 74 of Florence, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center. He was retired from Brown’s Ferry, TVA. He was of the Baptist faith. Roger graduated from the University of North Alabama with a degree in accounting. He served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam as an Infantry Paratrooper and was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 12-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor Chad Hess.

Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Moore; sisters, Becky Nelson, Faye Triplett, Dot Burns, and Carolyn Fleener.

He is survived by special friend, Doris Bevis; sons, Derek Moore and Lee Yarbrough; brothers, Jimmy Moore (Cheryl), Earl Moore, Jerry Moore (Jerri Mae); sister, Barbara Gail Boone (Cliff); very special granddaughter, Lexi Moore; grandsons, Will Lyle and Jake Lyle; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
