Ricky Donnell White

Ricky Donnell White (63), of Florence Alabama, departed this earthly life May 22, 2023, after a valiant battle against cancer. His love for music, fishing, hunting, and Alabama football were only surpassed by his love for his family. He has three beautiful children who he was immensely proud of and he would never miss a chance to tell you about them.

Ricky was a force of nature who was determined to provide for and support his family, who meant more than anything in the world to him. His infectious smile and laugh will live on forever in those of us left behind.

A visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home on May 25, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his mother Connie Corine White and sister Lucille White.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years Rita (Carpenter) White; son Emmondo Reeder; daughters Terra Walker (Randy), Taylor Sommers (Marshall); grandchildren Madison Reeder, Riley and Jace Walker, Raylan Sommers; father Edgar White; sisters Carolyn Webster, Evelyn White-Foster (Alton), Jacqueline Barnett (Freddie); brothers Kim White (Justina), Phillip Pritchard (Cathy); nieces Kristy Webster and Arlexxia Patterson and a host of other family and friends, including Stacey Barnett who has gone above and beyond for all of us.

His friends and family are invited to share happy memories and celebrate Ricky's life in the way he would want to be remembered - as a loving and caring man who enjoyed life.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to North Alabama Hospice for their gentle and compassionate care during this difficult time.
