Richard "Ricky" Parrish

Richard “Ricky” Parrish, 71, of Florence, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026.  Ricky was retired from Central High School. He was a member of Central Heights Baptist Church, a member of the Gideons, and was a Freemason.

Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2026, from 11-l p.m. at Central Heights Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church.  Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.  Officiating will be Ronnie Pannell and Tony Arnold.

Ricky was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Gayle Parrish; parents, Edward Earl and Flora Parrish; and sister, Teresa York.

He is survived by his son, Bryan Young (Mary Ellen); daughters, Melissa Adams (Craig), Molly Parrish, Jessica Matos (Lisandro); grandchildren, Austin Young (Abigail), Tyler Young (Brandy), Ashley Tellez (Omar), Nathaniel Young (Madi), Emma Lee, Piper, and Quinn Adams; and great grandchildren, Maddie and Sterling.

Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Young, Tyler Young, Austin Young, Bryan Young, Larry Underwood, Don Harrison, Lisandro Matos.

Honorary pallbearers are the men of Central Heights Baptist Church.
