Patrick Wilson

Patrick Hixon (Pat) Wilson passed away on August 28, 2025, after a brief illness.

Pat was born on April 29, 1942, to Marcus and Corrine Wilson in Atlanta, Georgia.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda Haddock Wilson, daughter Jacqueline Wilson Braudaway, son Jason Patrick Wilson, and sisters Sue Wilson Gruszewski and Ann Wilson Nunan. He is also survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two uncles and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Marcus H. Wilson; his mother, Corrine Herron Wilson and brother, Donald M. Wilson.

He was a lifelong resident of Florence and Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He was a graduate of Coffee High School, class of 1961, and a graduate of The University of North Alabama.

He retired from a long career at Reynolds Metals. An avid swimmer all of his life, he swam on his high school and college swim teams. He served as the first swim team coach of Florence High School. He spent many years as a Master Swimmer and Coach of the Master Swim Team: "The Shoals Sharks". He loved to share his knowledge of swimming with anyone who wanted to learn to swim. He was also a life-long fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

He was a proud father and grandfather and will be missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept 6, 2025, from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at Greenview Memorial Park and Funeral Home. Burial will be immediately after the visitation for the family at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Florence, Alabama.
