Norman Hanback, 79, of Florence, passed away April 16, 2025. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Visitation will be Monday, April 21, 2025 from 9-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with
Bobby Rich and Kevin Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in Railroad Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Hanback was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Elsie Hanback; brothers, Ivan, Talmadge, Athen, and W.C. Hanback; sisters, Elaine Hanback and Corlene Rich; brother-in-law, Glenn Rich; and sisters-in-law, Ruby Womble Hanback and Joyce Hanback.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue Hanback; sons, Brian (Kim) and Bradley (Ashley) Hanback; sisters-in-law, Zandy Fulmer Hanback and Jerri Richardson Hanback; grandchildren, Kadence, Anabelle, Clayton, and Luke Hanback; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Hanback’s nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Gary Utley, Nathan Robinson, Robert Stanfield, Larry Dixon, Arlon Hanback, Donnie Arnold, and the Homeside Morning Coffee Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital or a charity of your choice.
