Melvin Wiley Davis

Melvin Wiley Davis, 76, of Florence, Alabama, passed from this life on November 1, 2024. He was born December 3, 1947, to Wiley & Anna Lou Callahan Davis.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and Alabama Football.  But everyone who knew him knew he loved his family most.  He was employed with TVA at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant and a member of the Pipefitter Local 760.  He proudly served in the United States Navy.

A visitation will be held 11 AM -12 noon, Tuesday, Nov. 5th, at Greenview Funeral Home.  A Graveside Service will be 11 AM, Thursday, at Greenview Memorial Park.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Geneva Willingham, Ruby Michael, Mamie Lou Clark, Olavee Payne; brothers, Bill Davis, Gary Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Carolynne Parrish; son, Jason Davis of Florence, Al; daughter, Miranda (Brook) Buttram of Killen AL; brother, Donald “Butch” Davis of Tuscumbia, Al; grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Ethan Buttram, Evan Buttram, Charlie Buttram; great grandchildren, Chason Davis, Addie Davis.
