Melissa Sue (Wilson) Jenkins

Melissa Sue Wilson Jenkins, 65, of Muscle Shoals, AL., passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home.  She was a homemaker. Melissa was a devoted Christian.  She fought a hard battle and was ready to be with her Jesus.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.  Officiating will be Bro. Mike Crews.

Melissa was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Jenkins; father, J. C. Wilson; nephew, Chandler Wilson; and grandparents, Bill and Ruth Murphy.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Pitt, Muscle Shoals, AL; son, Alan Ray Jenkins (Allison Moore), Priceville, AL; daughter, Kimberly Murphy (Michael), Florence; brother, Gary Wilson (Teresa), Muscle Shoals, AL; sister, Anita Wilson (Jeff), Greenhill, AL; grandchildren, Audrey and Avery Jenkins, Muscle Shoals, AL,  Ally Jenkins, Priceville, AL, Savannah and Olivia Murphy, Florence; bonus grandchildren, Eli, Gracie, and Finn Moore, Priceville, AL; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Keeton, Jeff Wilson, Michael Murphy, Jay Keeton, Jermey Byrd, Faith Keeton, Audrey Jenkins, and Brandon Wilson.

Thanks to the rehab staff at Mitchell Hollingsworth for the devotion and care of our mom.  They went above and beyond.
