Mary Ethel (Laster) Hardin

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mary Laster Hardin shares with you her passing. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Mary was born in Margerum, Alabama, on August 6, 1931. She married the love of her life on May 28, 1949, and together they raised five children. Mary attended Broadway Fellowship Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was lovingly known as Maw Maw.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Laster and Mary Davis Laster; husband, Robert C Hardin Sr; brothers, Thomas Laster, Hollis Laster and Marcie Laster; sister, Jewel Elkins; and daughter, Teresa Hardin.

She is survived by her children, Bob Hardin Jr. (Sandra), Tommy Hardin (Kelly), Sherry Dickerscheid (Paul), Tony Hardin (Yana); grandchildren, Brian Hardin (Jennifer), Chris Hardin, Jessica Hardin, Heather Lovett (Wayne), Michael Dickerscheid (Susan), Jay Dickerscheid (Mandy), Morgan Brown (Hunter), Meagan Johnson (Andrew), Cole Hardin (Bailey), Bryant Hardin; 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.,

Visitation will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10 am in the funeral home chapel. The burial will be at Old Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Jim Trousdale and Chris Underwood. 

Pallbearers will be Cole Hardin, Bryant Hardin, Michael Dickerscheid, Jay Dickerscheid, Andrew Johnson and Hunter Brown.

The family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for the excellent care.
