Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Murphy

Mary Elizabeth Smith Murphy, 95, of Florence, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at El Reposo Nursing Facility.  She was retired as a supervisor at Monarch Tile. Mary was a member of Harrison Chapel Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Monday, May 12, 2025, from 12-1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.  Officiating will be Josh Clayton and Brian Smith.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clarence Murphy; son, Robert Eddie Murphy; parents, Carney and Lillie Mae Smith; and two brothers.

She is survived by her son Anthony D. Murphy; daughter, Cherryl M. Holden (Allen); grandchildren, Dawn Nance (Keith), Kelly Adomyetz (Wes), Jessica Bevis (David), and Ashley Harper (Kenny), and Maciah Murphy; and great grandchildren, Ali Nance, Colten Adomyetz, Logan Bevis, Bryson Bevis, Clayton Harper, and Dalton Harper.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be Wes Adomyetz, Colten Adomyetz, Maciah Murphy, Keith Nance, Logan Bevis, and Clayton Harper.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ali Nance.
