Mary Marie (Bobo) Borden

Mary Marie Borden, 85, of Florence, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, at her home. She was a homemaker. She was a member of West Lauderdale Cowboy Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in Harris Chapel Cemetery in Cherokee. Officiating will be Donny Young.

Mary Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Borden; sister, Patty Burt; brother, Glenn Bobo; and son, Charles Borden. 

She is survived by her son, Gene Borden; daughter, Ginger Borden Harrelson (Terry); sisters, Peggy Berry (Alan), Emma Posey (Mark), and Pam Voltz (David); grandchildren, Heath Borden, Brett Terry (Lori), Blake Terry (Melanie), Shantayla Hogan (Omar), Kelby Borden (Katie), Chandler Borden, Joshua Harrelson, Carly Harrelson, and Emily Harrelson; and great-grandchildren, Tanner Borden, McKenzie Borden, Sterling Terry, Ashton Terry, Daylon Hogan, Somaria Hogan, Leilani Hogan, Cadence Baker, and Sophia Baker.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Heath Borden, Kelby Borden, Chandler Borden, Brett Terry, Blake Terry; and great-grandson, Tanner Borden.

To know our mom was to love her.

She loved to work puzzles (mostly Elvis) and loved to color. She loved her dog, Sassy. Mostly, she loved seeing her family. Her laugh was contagious. She will be forever loved.

Memories in our heart will last a lifetime. Her voice is a whisper in the wind, a ray of sunshine on our face.
