Martha (Smith) McGuffey

Martha Smith McGuffey, age 96 of Florence, passed away on January 2, 2020. Mrs. McGuffey was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Mrs. McGuffey was a registered nurse of 35 years and former director of nurses at Colbert County Dept. of Public Health.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 11-12 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel; burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Mrs. McGuffey was preceded in death by her husband, James R. McGuffey, Sr.

Mrs. McGuffey is survived by her sons, James R. McGuffey, Jr.  (Cathy) and Steven J. McGuffey (Sandy); grandchildren, James R. McGuffey III, James W. McGuffey (Ellery), Charles J. McGuffey (Kelly) and Steven W. McGuffey (Erin); great granddaughter, Jemma McGuffey.
