Martha Ann Johnson

Martha Ann Johnson, 84, of Florence, passed away, Thursday, December 25, 2025.  She was a loving and devoted wife to Archie Johnson for over 50 years.  They built a life with warmth, love, dedication and happiness before his passing in 2013.

As a mother, Martha was nothing short of idyllic, pouring her heart into raising her two children with love, wisdom, and grace.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Johnson and brother, Jerry Reatherford.

She is survived by her two children, Susan Renade Gist (Christopher) and Dr. Greg Johnson (Dr. Roy Simpson); granddaughter Bayley Gist, siblings, Dorothy Thompson, Sue Crowden, Mickey Reatherford, Jimmy Reatherford; and many extended family and friends who will forever cherish her sweet memory.

A graveside service will be held at Community Freewill Baptist Church, 4051 CR 24, Florence, Al. 35633, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 12 noon.
