Mark was one of the kindest people I ever knew. He was my dad's best friend for years, and I have such fond memories of Mark playing with my sisters and I, and bringing over movies and food when we were small. He was like an uncle to us. I haven't seen him in over ten years, but I can still hear his laugh in my mind. I won't ever forget the kindness he showed my family and I when he let us stay with him after we lost our home during Katrina. The world is truly darker without him. My deepest condolences to his family.

Mark was a beloved family friend and remained close with my parents throughout my childhood and even into my teenage years. He was the "cool uncle" that hung out with us kids during football, NASCAR, and barbecue get-togethers. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Mark and his loving parents opened their doors to my sisters, mom, and stepdad when they had no place to go.
I will never forget his thoughtfulness and acts of generosity. He was a kind soul, like no other.
I pray that his family finds peace and comfort during this difficult time.
