Mark Allen Cook, 54, of Tuscumbia, passed away August 27, 2020 at home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Cook was a member of North Highlands Church of Christ, Tide Pride, and the Steelworkers Union. Mark loved his family dearly; he and his wife Vickey were married for 35 years. He was blessed with three Christian children. Mark adored his newest role as Pop. He loved to cook for large crowds and everyone loved his BBQ. Mark was happiest when his yard was full of people enjoying his food. He was an avid Alabama football and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He loved going to the beach and Disney World. He will be missed by all.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 12-2 p.m. at North Highlands Church of Christ in Russellville, AL. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at the church with Philip Goad officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his father, Allen Ray Cook; grandparents, Eddie and Mary Jo Dotson and Coy and Myrtle Cook.
He is survived by his wife, Vickey Dill Cook; mother, Eloise Dotson Cook; children, Whitney McCartt (Jon), Emily Myhan (Andrew), and Wesley Allen Cook; grandchildren, Charlee Rae McCartt, Rhett Allen McCartt, Addie Jane Myhan, and Mollie Bea Myhan; and in laws, Charles and Johnnie Ruth Dill.
