Margaret Elizabeth (Hopkins) Williamson

Margaret Elizabeth Williamson, 89, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Cottage of the Shoals Nursing Home. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

A private family graveside service is planned at a later date.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ray Williamson, Sr.; mother, Juanita Hopkins; and grandson, Christopher Lane Williamson.

She is survived by her brother, Charles Hopkins (Barbara); sons, Joe Ray Williamson, Jr. (Shirley), Gary Williamson (Tammra), Bobby Williamson, and David Williamson (Charlynne); and daughter, Susan Terrell (Billy); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Cottage of the Shoals and Hospice of North Alabama for their excellent care of our precious mother/grandmother.
