Linda Gail (Scott) Barnes

Linda Gail Barnes, 80, of Summerdale, AL. passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at South Baldwin Hospital, Foley, AL. She was the office manager at Fun Source Rentals and a member of Florence Boulevard Church of Christ.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Cloverdale Church of Christ, from 1-2 p.m.  The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church.  Burial will be in Cloverdale Church of Christ Cemetery. Officiating will be Mark Willingham, Vance Hutton, and Austin Johnson.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, J. C. and Isabell Scott; husband, Garry Barnes; daughter, Debra Chapin; three brothers, and one granddaughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Sondra Barnes; grandchildren, Heather Plaxco (Mitchell), Ashlie Rickard, Christopher Chapin (Courtney), Corey Chapin (Allie), Blake Topp, Clay Chapin (Molly); seven great granddaughters and three great grandsons; two sisters and one brother; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Plaxco, Christopher Chapin, Corey Chapin, Clay Chapin, Michael Clark, and Buzzy Scott.
