Levon Ray Lovell

Levon Ray Lovell, age 72, passed from his earthly life and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, August 15, 2025.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 10:30-12:00 pm at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12: 00 pm with Bro. Tim Wooten officiating. Pallbearers will be Zack Sharpston, Brandon Edwards, Curtis Lovell, Blake Hargett, Ben Ezekiel, and Seth Ezekiel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Lucille Lovell; brothers, Estle (E.J.) Lovell and Doyce (D.G.) Lovell; and brother-in-law, Ray Ezekiel.

Levon is survived by his wife of 39 years, Teresa Lovell; daughter, Stephanie Edwards; brother, Jimmy Lovell (Faye); sister, Donna Ezekiel; grandchildren, Zack Sharpston (Hannah), Brandon Edwards (Casey), and Devon King; and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and family members who will dearly miss him.

A lifelong resident of Florence, Alabama, Levon was a graduate of Coffee High School and retired from working many years at Buffalo Rock. He was currently spending his retirement years working for the City of Florence, where he made many new friends and acquaintances.

Levon was known for his love of Alabama Football, watching old Western movies, and spending time with his precious dog, Honey. Levon accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Weeden Heights Baptist Church. He later attended Fairview Baptist Church with his wife, Teresa.

The family is eternally grateful to all of the first responders and hospital staff who worked tirelessly to care for Levon.
