Lesley Wayne Burns

Wayne Burns, 56, passed away February 11, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran and a high school sports official. He loved God and his family; especially his girls.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 2-3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chris Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Guy Cemetery in Tuscumbia, AL.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Katie Burns.

He is survived by his wife, Elesha Kimbrough Burns; daughters, Bella and Ariel Burns; and step-daughter, Victoria Chaney; father, Melvin Burns, Sr.; brothers, Melvin Burns, Jr. (Mika), and John Hale; nieces, Summer Burns, Sarah Allred, and Chelsa Hanson; and nephews, Chase Burns and Branson Anderson.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
