Mr. Faulkner, who died Monday, February 9, 2026, at Florence Nursing and Wellness, was born November 18th, 1931, in Waterloo, AL to Samuel and Maude Faulkner. He was a graduate of Waterloo High School and The University of Alabama. He served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant and was stationed in Europe and North Africa, worked as a Chemical Engineer at Tennessee Valley Authority for 28 years, and was a member of Underwood Baptist Church. Mr. Faulkner was preceded in death by his loving wife; Mary Belle Faulkner; his parents, Sam and Maude Faulkner; two sisters, Mable Williams and Lillian Austin; brothers, Luther Faulkner and Beauford Faulkner.
Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2026, from 12-1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.
Survivors include daughter, Vicki Leigh Faulkner; sons, Larry Kent Faulkner and wife Lynn, Jay Stanley Faulkner and wife Shelley; grandchildren, Emma Johnston and husband Cole, Jay Faulkner Jr., Kate Faulkner and Davis Faulkner.
Pallbearers will be Jay Faulkner Jr., Cole Johnston, Stan Faulkner, Larry Faulkner, Ken Darby, Kevin Darby, and Scotty Tucker.
Honorary Pallbearers are Davis Faulkner, Sam Faulkner, Lyndon Wayne Austin, Rodney Terry, Gary Crow and Tim Johns.
The family would like to extend thanks to the staff at Northwest Alabama Medical Center, Florence Nursing and Wellness, and Affinity Hospice for their care of Mr. Faulkner.
In lieu of flowers the family asks to make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or Tunnel to Towers.
