Obituary
Larry Leo Martin, 73, of Florence, Alabama passed away at his home on August 22, 2023 surrounded by his wife and children. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lezlie Haltom Martin, his parents, Leo and Hazel Martin, sister Debbie (Bob) Harrington, daughter Anne-Marie (Scott) Owens, son Rob (Amy) Martin, daughter Ashley (Todd) Spalding, grandchildren Olivia, Ben, Sam, and Rachel Owens, Allie and Ava Martin, Patrick (Meagan) Spalding, great-grandchildren Cooper and Jackson Spalding, as well as several nieces and nephews. Larry was a member of Chisholm Hills Church of Christ, a US Navy Vietnam Veteran, a retired Lieutenant at the Florence Police Department, and a retired School Resource Officer at Mars Hill Bible School. The family will host a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 26th at 2 pm at Chisholm Hills Church of Christ, followed by a reception on site. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated toward the Youth Missions Fund at Chisholm Hills. An online guest book may be signed at greenviewmemorial.com.
