Kenneth "Kenny" Stevenson

Kenny Stevenson, a life-long resident of Florence, Alabama passed away on August 28, 2025. He was a loving and devoted husband and a friend to all who knew him. He was an avid Alabama football fan, loved fishing and hunting, and watching the sunrise and sunset. He was a member of the Army SP4 54th Infantry.

A visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Sunday August 31, 2025 from 1:00-2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Frank Mills officiating. He will be buried in Springfield Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Stevenson; mother, Marcella Stevenson; father-in-law, Herman King; sister-in-law, Gail Stevenson; and godson, Zac Minor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Darlene; brothers, Rod and Mark (Veda); sister, Vicki Hovater (John); nieces and nephews; Paige Stevenson (Bobby), Heather Coleman (Ronnie), Steven Hovater (Kelly), Michael Hovater (Martha), and Jeremi Vo (Emma); mother-in-law, Helen King; goddaughters, Haven Burcham and Lexi Sigle; godson, Tucker Ray Sigle; and numerous grand nieces and nephews. And beloved dog, Shadow.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
