JoAnn (Richards) Capley

JoAnn Richards Capley, of Killen, AL, born August 2,1946 and passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

In her lifetime, JoAnn was defined by her love and devotion to her grandchildren, daughter, husband and extended family. She loved spending time with everyone, whenever you were with her the time was always filled with laughter and love. She spent her free time with her grandchildren whom she loved so very much. JoAnn will always be remembered by all who knew her for her infectious smile, her big hugs that made you feel the love she had for you, and her belief in Jesus Christ.

“Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:31

JoAnn is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Donnie Capley; daughter- Felicia Fenley; grandchildren- Taylor Gannon and Tiffany Fenley; sisters- Linda Sellers, Teresa Darby (Clarence), Connie Kelso (Harold), and Lois Spires (Jim); and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mittie and Denver Richards, and brothers Donnie, Charles, and Jimmy Richards.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 9-10 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.  Officiating will be Clay Glover.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Gannon, Clay Glover, Connor Glover, Brandon Jackson, Ferrell Dodson, Shane Lockley, Chase Capley, & Devin Sharp.
