Jesse Christopher James

Jesse James, 18, of Killen, AL. passed away Friday, August 2, 2024.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be Shane Swinney, Launch Point Church.

Jesse was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Maggie Middleton; grandfather, Billy J. Bevis; and sister, Megan Thigpen.

He is survived by his parents, Christopher and Kristie James; sisters, Lauren Coleman (Jonathan), Haley Thigpen, Kristin James; maternal grandmother, Hazel Bevis; paternal grandparents, Ronny and Sue James; aunts, Tammy Flowers (Bay) and Karla Rhodes (Jimmy); uncle, Ronny James (Mona); and numerous cousins and extended family.

Jesse’s favorite thing to do was work on his blue Ford truck with its big chrome wheels, ride around Florence listening to music, and meet new friends at truck shows.  He loved all animals, playing video games, fishing, ping pong, and hanging out with friends at McFarland Park.  Jesse was a free spirit and filled every room he entered with laughter and joy.  He was a loving and caring son, brother, and friend.  Jesse lived his 18 years freely and fearlessly.  He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
