Jason Edward Kasmeier

Jason Edward Kasmeier, age 56, of Florence, Alabama, passed away on September 6, 2025. He was a mechanic by trade, a father, grandfather, brother, and member of St. Michaels Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, from 9:30am – 11am at St. Michaels Catholic Church. A funeral mass will follow at 11am. The burial will be at St. Michaels Cemetery.

Jason was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Diane Kasmeier; and daughter, Tes Kasmeier.

He is survived his sons, Dylan Kasmeier (Marly) and Austin Kasmeier; daughter, Alyssa Kasmeier; brother, Chris Kasmeier (Kim); grandchildren, Nasher Kasmeier, Isabella Porfil, and Bryton Porfil; nieces, Madison Moore, and Aly Clemons; and numerous cousins.

Pallbearers are Austin Kasmeier, Patrick Peters, Cheri Kasmeier, Terry Hunt, and Eddie Krieger.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lance Austin, John Czermack, Greg Locker, Kay Kasmeier Henson, Daniel Hunt, and Bailey Moore.

The family would like to thank the nurses from Gentiva Hospice, Jennifer, Marissa, Emma, and Jessica, as well as Dr. Mann for their special care and thoughtfulness.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
