Janice Clemons

Janice Lavonne Clemons, 85 of Florence, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025 at her residence. She was a retired teacher, a retired cafeteria employee at Mars Hill Bible School, a member of the Helton Drive Church of Christ and member of the Air Force Sergeants Association.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow in the Greenview Chapel.  Officiating will be Josh Welch. Burial will follow at North Carolina Church of Christ cemetery.

Mrs. Clemons was preceded in death by her husband, Dewell Morgan Clemons; and her grandson, Lee Gordon Frederick.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Frederick (Alyssa) and Dwayne Frederick (Kathleen); daughters, Jodeen Hunt (Steve) and Cara Fowler (Carl); grandchildren, Adam Frederick (Karen), Seth Hunt, Brooke Johnson, Steven Hunt, and Rylie Clemons; and great-grandchildren Emma Grace Frederick, Francis Rose Frederick, and Arthur Frost Frederick.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Frederick, William Richardson, Billy Johnson, and Steven Hunt.
