James William Coble

James William Coble, 85, of Florence, passed away January 16, 2022. He was a member of Jacksonburg Church of Christ. Jim loved his family. He enjoyed picking roses for his wife, Nell, and any opportunity he had, he loved to hunt and fish and swap tall tales with his buddies.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 1-2 p.m. at Jacksonburg Church of Christ. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at the church with Garry Gooch officiating. Burial will follow in Jacksonburg COC Cemetery.

Mr. Coble was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Mattie Coble; and sister, Helen McClung.

He is survived by his wife, Nell Chessor Coble of Florence; daughters, Emily Springer (Daniel) of Killen, Jamie Coble-Coombs (Daniel) of Florence; and grandchildren, Emily Kathryn Springer of Florence, Dan Springer (Summer) of Jackson, TN; Elicia Springer of Chattanooga, TN; Andrew Coombs of Cullman, AL, and Virginia Coombs of Atlanta, GA.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Bridges, Hunter Bridges, Andrew Coombs, Dan Springer, and Cody Corlew.

Emily and Jamie would like to thank his special caregivers: Doris, Ana, Judy, Carlee, Rhonda and Andrew.
