Iretha M. (Motes) Wynn

Iretha M. Wynn, 93, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Rogers Chapel Church.

Visitation will be Friday, August 8, 2025, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.  Officiating will be Ralph Mann.

Iretha was preceded in death by her husband, James Wynn; son, Richard Eagerton; her parents, Edward and Gwendolyn Motes; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Eagerton, Florence, Mark Eagerton (Sherri), Florence, James Wynn, Jr. (Darlene), Samson, AL, Donald Wynn (Melinda), Florence; daughters, Edith Thackston, Hiram, GA. And Glenda Abernathy, Florence; brothers, Herman Motes (Delores) and James Motes (Elizabeth); sisters, Margaret Boyd, Linda Cox (Jimmy), Selene Dunn (Tim); 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
