Helen Juanita Crowder

Helen Juanita Crowder, 97, of Coffeeville, passed away at the home of her niece in Coffeeville on Sunday, October 20, 2025. She was born in Maryville, TN on Monday, October 13, 1928, to Joseph Bartley Crowder and Ada Aliza Hatcher Crowder. The family moved to Florence, AL when she was a child, and she made that her home until her declining health forced her to give up her independent lifestyle. She was employed in the banking industry in Florence for many years and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Florence. She will be remembered as sweet and beautiful by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Elizabeth Ethridge, Dot Pigg and James Crowder and their spouses. She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Tara (Wayne Leggett) Ethridge of Coffeeville; niece, Janice (Miguel) Ramos, Tennessee; great-nephews Caleb Goodman, James (Sara) Ramos; great-nieces, Jamie Shumate, Rebecca Ramos, as well as extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 1-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Kevin Johnson will be officiating.  A private interment after the service will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield with Greenview directing.
