Hazel Joyce Bevis

Hazel Joyce Bevis, 83, of Florence, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024. She was a lifelong member of Cloverdale Church of Christ. Officiating will be Nolan Burns.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 10-11:00 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Park.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bevis; grandson, Jesse James; parents, Lina and Anderson Montgomery; brother, Earl Montgomery; and sister, Bernell Holt.

She is survived by her children, Kristie James (Chris) and Karla Rhodes (Jimmy); grandchildren, Kristin Sargeant (Haley), Haley Thigpen, Lauren Coleman (Jonathan), Ariel Rhodes; brothers, David Montgomery (Ophelia) and Billy Montgomery (Kay); and sister, Ruth Whitten.

Hazel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter.  She enjoyed painting, gardening, and spending time with her family.  She will be missed by all who knew her.
