Grace Moore Spurgeon

Grace Viola Moore Spurgeon, 91, of Florence, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center.  She was a retired from the Florence City School system and was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

Grace was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.  She received loving care from her daughters who were there to meet her every need.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Chris Underwood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Moore; her husband, Robert Spurgeon; sons, Charles Ray Moore and Mark Lane Moore; grandsons, James Champion Goodman and Christopher Todd Moore; sister, Elizabeth Thigpen; and brothers, William and Charles Tucker.

Grace is survived by son, Allan Moore; daughters, Teresa Hudson, Jean Stumpe, Amy Hill, and Greta Killen; sister, Clara Mae Thompson; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Killen, Steve Hudson, Steven Darby, Ryan Moore, Eric Moore, and Jordon Linzey.
