Gerald "Jerry" Rea

Gerald “Jerry” Wayne Rea, 72, of Florence, formerly of Hawk Pride Mountain, Tuscumbia, AL., passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his home.  He was a diesel mechanic for 25 years at Greene’s Cartage.  Jerry was a diehard Alabama Football fan.

There will be a Celebration of Life service Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 1-3 p.m. at Cross Point Church of Christ Pavilion.  Officiating will be Gary McFall.

Jerry was preceded in death by Ben Rea, Chris Rea, and Bessie Richardson.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Goins Rea; sons, Doug Hamm (Crystal), Michael Rea (Christy), and Timmy Rea; daughter, Heather Snoddy; sisters, Terry Wright (Rickey); and special sister-in-law, Janet Ivey; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
