Frances Pearl (Balentine) Wood

Mrs. Frances Wood age 85, of Waterloo, passed away on March 11, 2020 after a brief illness. Frances was a member of Valley View Pentecostal Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Greenview Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Officiating will be Larry Burbank.

Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband William Wood; her parents, Elmer and Mattie Balentine; brothers, Joe Balentine, Danny Balentine and Clifford Balentine; sister, Eva Dean Wood.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her traveling buddy and love Charles Jones; her sons, Sherman Wood (Martha) of Red Bay, AL and Travis Wood (Diane) of Waterloo, AL; daughter, Marlene Porter (Chuck) of Florence, AL; sisters, Juanita Clayton, Mildred McInnish, Charlene Pope, Martha Pitts and Pam Currotto (Bob); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be (grandsons) Kenny Wood, Greg Wood, Cass Wood, Chad Wright, Codie Dabbs, and Donavan Dabbs. Honorary pallbearer will be Barry Thompson.
