Edna (McCafferty) Talley Jones

Edna McCafferty Talley Jones, 83, of Florence, was reunited with the love of her life, her parents, her beloved in-laws, and met her Savior face to face on May 28, 2023. She was a member of Word Fellowship Church, The Batting Brigade, The Knitwits, and the Shoals Praise and Worship Choir.

Edna was a 1957 graduate of Coffee High School, Florence, AL. She worked at the Shirt Factory and the Shoe Factory in Iuka, MS for many years and retired from Monarch Tile in 2002. Edna enjoyed reading, quilting for herself, family and others, and knitting and singing in the choir.

Visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Young Talley; her parents, Nolen and Daisy Williams McCafferty; in-laws, Millard and Opal Talley; sisters-in-law, Olene Norman and Virginia Davis; brothers-in-law, Bobby Talley, Don Talley, Johnnie Withers, and Kenneth Tate.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny A. Talley of Florence, and Troy Y. Talley (BaClark Wilks) of Florence; daughter, Teresa Talley Butler (Jeff) of Florence; brother, Melvin McCafferty (Carol) of Florence; and sisters, Mary Alice McCafferty Withers of Florence, and Gloria McCafferty Tate of Ocala, FL; sisters-in-law, Margie Moore, Marie Talley, Wanda Talley, and several nieces and nephews.
