Dorothy Alene Chambers

A graveside service for Dorothy Alene Chambers, 86, of Florence, Alabama, will be 11am, Monday, August 7, 2023, at Greenview Memorial Park in Florence, Alabama. Brother Billy George will officiate the service.

Mrs. Chambers passed from this life August 4, 2023, at NHC Nursing Home in Moulton after an extended illness.  Mrs. Chambers was born June 25, 1937, to John Henry Givens and Susie Irene Brewer.  She was a seamstress, and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Alene was a member of First Baptist Church of Cloverdale.

Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Chambers, Jr.; parents, John & Irene Givens; sister, Emogene Reathford Nard; brother, Earl Givens.

She is survived by her sons, Phillip (Pam) Chambers of Hartselle, Alabama and Michael (Sherry) Chambers of Florence, Alabama; brother, Gerald (Heidi) Givens of Lakeland, Florida; grandchildren, Justin (Jill) Chambers of Killen, Alabama, Seth (Kristen) Chambers of Florence, Alabama, Kane (Natasha) Chambers; great grandchildren, Jake and Jordan Chambers, Ava Howard.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to NHC Nursing Home in Moulton, Alabama and to Compassus Hospice for the wonderful care given to our Loved one.

Pallbearers will be Justin Chambers, Seth Chambers, Kane Chambers, Jake Chambers & Larry Miller
