Doris Millinea Truitt (Killen) Newbury

Doris Millinea Truitt Newbury, 96, of Florence, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at her residence.  She was a homemaker and a member of St. James Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 12-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.  Officiating will be Joel Garrott.

Millinea was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Alice Killen; first husband, Robert Truitt; second husband, Charles Newbury; brothers, Paul Killen, Bob Killen, James Killen; sister, Carolyn Killen; and son-in-law, Roger Miller.

She is survived by daughters, Joan Miller and Carole Bevis (Bob); brother, Howard Killen (Carolyn); sisters, Margie Rogers and Barbara Bretherick (Donnie); grandchildren, Kellie Luedke (Eric) and Barrett Parker; great grandchildren, Raylah Luedke, Kaylin Luedke, Levi Luedke, Silas Parker, and Riley Parker.

Pallbearers will be Levi Luedke, Silas Parker, Riley Parker, Barrett Parker, Eric Luedke, Dalton Lansdell, and Steven Moore.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Joy Class at St. James Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to One Place of the Shoals or a charity of your choice.
