Donnie Ray "Doc" Chaney

Donnie Ray "Doc" Chaney, 65, of Florence, passed away Monday, October 28, 2024, at North Alabama Medical Center.  He was retired from NAFCO.  Donnie was a huge Alabama fan, and he never met a stranger.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  The memorial service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel.  Officiating will be Lynn Holloway and Larry Burbank.

Donnie was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Lynn Chaney; parents, Henry and Edna Chaney; and sisters, Rosie Young and Wanda Roberts.

He is survived by his sons, Josh and Alex Chaney, and Dustin Chaney; daughter, Kelly Chaney; brothers, Leroy and Greg Chaney; sisters Faye Comer, Shelia Rideout, and Linda Apple; and grandchildren, Willow, Charlie, Jovie, River Chaney.
